Boys Don't Make Passes

When I look at Audrey, I still see her as a baby.  She still has baby teeth, baby-soft skin, and enough chub on her face to look like the same sweet thing that I brought home from the hospital.  This being the case, it's hard for me to imagine what she's going to look like as an adult.  But every once in a while, I feel like I catch sight of Future Audrey.  Especially in photos.  One day she put on my reading glasses and I snapped this shot.

It got me picturing her as a bespectacled beauty and wondering what she will aspire to be.  She could be a cutie-pie reporter/news anchor....

A political pundit...I'm giving equal time to the both extremes of the political spectrum.  And yes, I know that they are on the wrong sides, but I couldn't get the stupid pictures to switch without screwing it up.

A one-hit wonder...

A funny lady that makes fun of one of the above...

Or a smokin' hot mommy blogger that is somehow not me.  What the?

  1. Reading glasses? That is going in my little notebook of stuff to make fun of you about.

  2. She's way cuter than all those gals. But my vote's for Tina Fey.

  3. Holy cow! Who is that mommy blogger? She IS smokin!

And you were totally right; way better than the Lexus in my living room on Christmas morning AND the birthday laptop combined!

  4. AND I think she looks way cute with glasses. And can easily see her being a comedian, one with that sense of humor that some people totally get and some people don't...oh right, like her mom!

Sorry for the double comments but I completely forgot about your daughter after seeing me. Can you say narcissistic?

  6. I get glimpses of future Owen too sometimes... AND eye dr. says he'll be in glasses by next year! Fun! More gadgets on his head!

    I'd totally do Tina Fey.

  7. Hey! You forgot me! I've worn glasses since I was 3. I like to think it makes me look intelligent. I can prolong the illusion if I keep my mouth shut.

Audrey is slightly cuter than me, I'll admit.

  9. Being English I haven't got a clue who most of those women were. Do you think you could repeat it with members of the royal family as examples???? I'm joking, don't please, please don't!!!

  14. Those are all pretty cool chicks to look like (except for the crazy-ass, ex-beauty queen turned guv'nor).

  15. Maybe she'll grow up and date the cute specs wearing son of that smokin' hot mommy blogger! (If she likes younger men, that is!)

  16. OMG, I hope she never has to wear glasses!! These things are the biggest pain in the ass since filling out emergency forms for the school!

Hopefully, she'll have 20/20 vision for her whole life!

  17. The glimpses of adulthood only get worse and more frequent. Every time I catch a glimpse of Gaston out of the corner of my eye, I think "holy crud he's becoming a teenager!"

Audrey is super cute. On a separate note, glasses on grown women can be dead sexy.

  19. Hey, I've 3 Lisa Loeb songs on my Ipod... Does that make her a three hit thrunder?

  20. @BBM: I don't know. Have I heard of them? I only know that "you say I only hear what I want to" one. I'm open to editing though :)

  21. I love all the possibilities! It both scares and fascinates me to think of my boys as adults.

  22. That is too funny!

Not to get political, but really? You put Rachel Maddow up as the opposite of Sarah Palin? I mean, one is slightly left of center and the other one is waaaaaaaaay to the right!

  23. I love it! It is so fun to fantasize about what they'll look like when they grow up. Just as long as it's not Sarah Palin... that girl is bat-shit crazy!

  24. What a fun look at brilliant and bespectacled women! I'm sure that with a talented and smart mommy like you, your little girl has the brightest future ahead!

Thank you so much for being a part of making my SITS day such a happy one!
